Top Quality Gear

All gear and bait will be provided. When you arrive for your guided trip in the morning you will be provided with the best gear money can buy. I want to make sure that this experience is as enjoyable as possible. I use a lot of different rods and reels for different fishing techniques. I made sure they're easy to use and are comfortable for you. I've selected Douglas Rods for my salmon and steelhead rods. They are very well made and easily can detect a bite and have the backbone to fight a big fish. The reels we will be using are Shimano reels and Daiwa reels. I've selected certain reels for certain techniques. Some have line counters so we can position our gear exactly where we want and fish effectively. All these products are well maintained and are tuned and cleaned very regularly.

I hand cure all the bait that we will use. There is certain scents and brines that I may use to make these fish bite. I will be baiting all your lures and hooks so you don't have to deal with any stinky fingers at the end of the day and all you will have to do is hold on to your rod, cast, catch and have a good time.

In the evenings ill spend my time prepping the gear for the following day. You will have brand new leaders and hooks to insure that they are sharp and undamaged. Just some extra security for when you have that opportunity that a fish bites your line, you have the best chance in the world to get tight to it.

My Office

The boat I use is a 17-foot, guide model, heated RB drift boat. with top-of-the-line seats for your comfort. A nice new non-slip floor in case you want to stand. When you arrive, you will see a very clean boat. There is nothing like stepping into a clean, well-kept boat in my experience.

What to bring

  • Fishing license with salmon and /or steelhead tags are required before any fishing trip.

  • Bring warm clothes, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. The weather can change quickly here in northern California.

  • Rain Gear, jacket and pants. waders are really nice for when its raining if you have access to a pair. Rubber boots are not a must have but make it nice to get in and out of the boat regardless of weather.

  • Bring a lunch with enough food and beverages to last you the full 8 hours on the water.

  • And always, a Camera to photograph the sites and memories
